Today’s destination is Sparks Marina Park.
Sparks Marina Park is a park with a large marina that you can walk around. It’s about 2 miles loop. Not only you can walk around the marina, but also it offers a fantastic mountain view and other recreations such as fishing, boating, dog park, playground and even a beach with volleyball courts.
It seems popular by locals and it was pretty crowded with people walking dogs, biking, and fishing etc.; especially, when the temperature is close to 60F. Despite of the number of people, there were enough parking area to find a spot. The parking is located in the west of the marina.
The walking path looks new still and concreated, so it won’t be a problem to bring a stroller.
We took our dog, Orbit, and he enjoyed walking as well as meeting other dogs on the way.
We checked out the dog park too. It is a partially fenced park. What I mean by “partially” is the fence doesn’t go around in the water to close the loop. Both ends sticks out into the water and discontinues. Which is no problem for Orbit since he doesn’t like water though.
The dog park had uneven ground, so dog can run up and down. It wasn’t a huge area, but it will be large enough for a dog like Orbit (16lbs).
The marina is located right next to the outlet, Legends, and you can access to the outlet from the walking path.
I highly recommend it for a nice outside day!!
