Week 22 was relatively quiet.
I didn’t feel much of baby movement in my belly nor my food cravings. I could be getting used to the movement and just didn’t notice any more lol Good news is my menstrual like cramping is also faded away towards the end of week 22. Instead, tiredness jumped in. I feel like I’m getting enough sleep of at least 7 hours, but if it’s less for some reasons, then I have to take a nap at some point…
Besides that, my weight gain actually decreased by 0.4 lbs. It’s not much and I exceeded by 0.8 lbs in week 21 so I guess it’s just balancing up.
Baby’s Size:
At 22 weeks, generally speaking, the baby is the size of a coconut, papaya, or a red bell pepper. The baby is about 11 inches long and weighs 15.7 oz. But again, our baby was already 17 oz at week 21, so it’s just an average info. If you had a 2nd ultrasound, they should be able to tell you how big your baby actually is 🙂
Welcome Box part 3:
We have also received a welcome box (free sample kit) from Amazon. It arrived about 2 weeks earlier than what the shipping says.
More bottles and diapers/wipes, and even a baby shirt and a swaddle!!
Diapers and wipes are the stuff you definitely need, like A LOT for sure! So it’s really helpful to always receive an extra <3 Another fact that I found out through my research is the number of bottles. A baby at age 0 – 1 month drinks about 1 – 3 oz of milk per feeding at frequency of every 2 – 3 hours. Meaning it’s gonna be a 8 – 12 feedings per day. It’s totally a personal preference, but lazy like me or to be able to stock up breast milk for later on, it is recommended to have at least 8 to 10 bottles. Luckily so far I have received 7 bottles from sample gifts from Target, Buybuy Baby, and Amazon <3 There are many charts online to show how much milk a baby needs to drink per day by age. So I printed out mine for reference. Unfortunately there is no standard value for it, so each charts has different amount/frequency. We’ll need to find out with our baby 🙂
