Week 20, a half way is done and 20 more weeks to go!
Weight Gain and Stomach Size
These 2 weeks, my stomach was certainly getting bigger. Believe it or not, I no longer fits in my pre-pregnancy clothes even the clothes it was too big to wear back then…
I’m still gaining my weight constantly about 1lb per week. I gained about 12lbs total so far. It’s almost making me confused mentally why I keep getting bigger. I understand my body is changing due to pregnancy, but it was almost impossible back then to gain this fast. So in my mind, whatever I’m eating is BAD, like I’m eating fast food or junk food all the time! LOL It’s not the case at all and I’m not reacting to it so it’s just me feeling that way.
Baby’s Gender Reveal
I had a 2nd ultrasound and 4th OBGYN visit during week 20. We finally found out our baby’s gender!
And it’s a BOY!!!
Once again, due to Corona virus my husband couldn’t get into a hospital with me, so we did a real time video chat 🙂 Our baby was moving around during the ultrasound and he no longer fits in one screen anymore. So the technician couldn’t really tell us his height, but she said the baby is 13oz in weight. Generally the baby’s weight is around 10.5oz in week 20, so I’m guessing he’s a little bit larger than the average. His heartbeat was 132bpm and now it’s getting slower and slower.
She took all the measurements on baby’s parts. It’s just one measurement exceeded its standard range by few millimetres. Around our baby’s neck. My doctor recommended me to schedule another ultrasound exam at a different location with a higher technology/resolution machine. This length may be the result of down syndrome she informed us. However, she told us not to worry since everything else was standard and it was just few millimetres exceeded, but just in case. Well, yeah now I’m worried LOL So I made an appointment right away and scheduled next week Wed 6/17.
Baby Movement
Changing the subject to a happy news. I certainly started feeling baby’s movement in my stomach. Still it’s kinda like a popcorn popping feeling, but especially when I lie down, I can feel it better <3 Our nurse told me that in 2 weeks, around week 22, the baby will start kicking harder so I can definitely be sure his movement and my husband will be able to feel the kick as well.
Let’s looking forward to it 🙂
