Pregnancy Begins

What has changed since January is that the fact that I became pregnant!! Cheehoo!!!

Medically since you cannot tell when exactly you’ve got pregnant, the pregnancy week counts from the last period. Which turns out, during period is already 0 week of pregnancy. Weird but that’s how it goes.

Until week 4 , I had no clue. I took a pregnancy test a day after I missed my period. My period is pretty steady and comes periodically as expected.

It was POSITIVE!!

Pregnancy Test Result – Kit was from Easy @ Home
2 lines = Positive, 1 line = Negative

My reaction? CONFUSED lol Don’t take it wrong. We’ve been trying to conceive purposely since last summer. It wasn’t quite a year that I needed to see a doctor yet. Although for me, we were waiting for this moment for a long time so I didn’t want to get disappointed because my home test kit showed positive.

I made an appointment with my family medicine doctor in the following week.

She tested two pregnancy kit and both were POSITIVE!! So I also took a flu shot just in case.

Felt super relieved, so I finally told my husband that I’m pregnant 🙂

Doctor recommended Prenatal Multi vitamins.

Symptoms, not so much at week 4.

What went crazy was Food CRAVINGS and Aversions started at week 4, which I feel it’s kinda early?

Can’t have it enough. Pretty much every 2 hours I’m starving no matter how much I eat. Too bad for my husband as he just started dieting – cutting carbs, eat salads and lean meat. It opposes my cravenness LOL

Food aversion is hitting me pretty bad too. Now it’s not only smells but also the memory of having specific food/drinks gives me nausea…

As of today, I just started week 7.

Frequently feeling nausea (so as called “morning sickness”) but not serious kind. I can still handle it at work. Worst time so far was during week 5. My craving is slowing down. Possibly from my real bad abnormal constipation and bloating, which are also another symptom of pregnancy. I did tons of Google research and bought some fiber rich drinks/food.

It’s been helping me little by little.

This concern is also a good topic to discuss with a OBGYN. I made a first visit appointment on March 21st. I’ll be at beginning of week 9. Let’s see how it goes 🙂

Hoping we can get more accurate due date from an ultrasound test.

Otherwise, based on an app that calculate a due date (40 weeks rule), my due is currently set to October 24th, 2020 🙂

Can’t wait to see our first little one <3
