Yes, finally the season has come.
It is still before Halloween and the forecast in Chicago suburbs are expecting SNOW today and tomorrow.
Seems like many trick-or-treat events in Chicago suburbs were postponed to Saturday due to the weather.
Growing up in my 20s in Hawaii, I don’t really see the point of wearing costumes on this cold weather, especially the sexy ones. I’d rather cover up my entire body to keep my body temperature up.
All I can say is I’ll definitely tell my future teenage daughters this.
“it’s October and cold outside, wear no slutty costume ” LOL
In this weather, unfortunately I had to head out to downtown Chicago to get my passport renewed and updated.
Hate to drive in town still, so I called up a taxi to get to the office from work.
Passport process was pretty quick to submit the paper work. I’m just hoping they’ve got all my request correct since they didn’t confirm anything and just accepted everything without speaking. Typical government workers…
At least I could enjoy a bit of Fall in Chicago.
After my errand, I decided to take a Blue Line to head half way back to save some money. Taxi was pretty pricey… CTA Single Ride Ticket was $3.00 and I rode to O’hare International Airport. From there was again a taxi but I could save about 30%.
Next is the 6th. I have to go back to the Consulate General of Japan to pick up my passport… and looks like now it costs $145 in CASH. Lots of questions here… Why don’t they mail it to everybody like how US government does? Why don’t they accept credit cards/debit cards?! It just doesn’t make sense…
Hopefully the weather won’t be bad at least…
