Fall starts tomorrow

Starting tomorrow, September 23rd, officially Fall season will begin in Northern Hemisphere.

Little by little, trees started changing its color everywhere. According to the website below, the expected fall foliage peak in Northern Illinois is sometime around the last week of October to 1st week of November. 🍁🍂

The weather this weekend is not so preferable to me. It’s raining like a whole day and some intermittent clouds if lucky. Someone already gave up going outside and decided to sleep in 😴 LOL

How peaceful he is LOL

Although it’s still warm outside, we thought we were running out of BBQ time so we did plan for it this weekend… sigh…. 😞

My husband received an elk shoulder meat from his coworker. Obviously he hunted the elk. How poor the elk is… yet looks delicious 🦌😋 LOL

So he decided to make elk pipikaula (Hawaiian cuisine dish similar to jerky) in the oven. He marinated the meat over night in his original sauce yesterday.

Leave the meat in oven for 6 hours… Which happened to be 12hours lol

Nicely cooked well
Juicy yet dried and seasoned well pipikaula is ready to serve ♥️

It was a nice relaxing weekend 😊
