It was a typical Thursday, I was somehow craving for Yakiniku (Japanese Family Style BBQ).
I knew good Japanese Yakiniku places are closer to downtown Chicago and I didn’t want to deal with traffic😅
So, it’s an easy decision. Let’s go to a Korean BBQ restaurant!! Korean style is pretty similar to Japanese. Their meat selection and sauce might be a bit different but that’s about it.
We found one on Yelp with pretty good reviews – 4.5 stars with 342 reviews, called Chungkiwa Restaurant in Mt. Prospect.
Their menu shows Japanese translation. They must have many Japanese customers.
As a first timer, we just ordered Meat & Seafood Combination for 2.
Oh yeah, it was plenty food!! We had to take some meat home since we couldn’t finish it all 😅
I was so satisfied with their food then a waiter brought this stuffed animal for souvenir 🥰
It wasn’t just the stuffed animal, but they gave each of us a free ice cream + a free water bottles to go.
It was an outstanding service 😆
I would highly recommend this Korean BBQ place! Next time, we’ll try other selections❤️
