Old Stover Trailhead

This is how I spent my last summer time half day off.

Cloudy so it was not too hot and was around 73F, although it was still the end of August… Today was a perfect day for a walk so I took my dog with me to explore.

Facing Palatine Road

We parked at Palatine Road side of the entrance, which is just across Crabtree Nature Center. Unfortunately, I read somewhere online that Crabtree Nature Center won’t allow dog, so we just straight to the trail.

The other side of Palatine is the way to Crabtree Nature Center

We were planning to turn around once we hit Algonquin Road as we didn’t want to walk along road. Yet it was probably about 1.5 to 2 miles total.

Plan was to walk Left Upper corner section and turn around.

It was pretty nice walk. The path was clean and all paved plus nicely preserved nature on the both sides of path.

Nice yellow flowers were fully blooming 🌻

I was hoping I would encounter some wild animals like rabbit, deer, or coyote wooooo😰😰 but I didn’t meet anyone 😅 Seems like my dog, Orbit definitely smelled some animal though 😆 and we also found some evidences💩🙈

Heard some noise from that green pond…

It was fun day and good enough for me to hit 10,000 steps 🙂
