Pregnancy Week 12 and 13

Finally my first trimester is over!

Some says week 12 and the other says week 13. To be exact, if overall estimated pregnancy period is 40 weeks, 13.33333 weeks would be the first trimester… so week 13 I guess.

Anyways, day by day although my pregnancy symptoms weren’t bad at all, I started feeling more of myself. I also ordered my first maternity clothes <3

Week 13 was my 2nd OBGYN visit. Below was done during the visit.

  • Urine Test (Glucose and Protein were measured)
  • Pap Smear
  • HPV Test
  • Listen to a fetal heartbeat (160bpm this time)
  • Weight/Height Measurement
  • Blood Pressure

Still waiting on some results, but the doctor said he doesn’t see any problems right now 🙂

Here’s few facts that I experienced during these 2 weeks.

I realized that my weight started gaining (I think) way faster. The first trimester should be somewhere between 1 – 5lbs gain. I was at the end side or a little bit more. Constipation was also one contribution. So I started taking a doctor’s recommended over the counter medication that is safe for pregnancy. And also reducing the amount that I eat each meal. I don’t feel cravings anymore so it wasn’t difficult.

Another change was the fact I started drinking coffee again.

Back in the early-mid first trimester, somehow I couldn’t take coffee anymore. Before I was pregnant, I had to tell myself not to drink coffee all day. Free coffee in the office so it was harder not to.

Now in the end of first trimester and I’m feeling normal, I started drinking coffee little by little. Of course, people say pregnant women cannot have caffeine more than certain amount. So why not, I changed my coffee to decaf!! Tada~~!!!

Now I can’t stop drinking coffee again LOL Gotta limit to “morning only”!!
